Quotidian Quotes Empty Quotidian Quotes

Post  CHo05 Mon May 26, 2008 4:41 pm

I like quotes, and have collected a large number of them over the years. I just wanted to make a page to share them, chat about them, and otherwise just enjoy them. I hope you have as much fun reading these quotes as I've had collecting them. Feel free to reply to these posts with your comments about the quotes, or even post your own quotes up if you want to share them.

P.S. I know the word quotidian means "something that occurs daily". I am NOT going to be updating this daily Smile I like quotes, but not that much. I just like the feel of the phrase.

Here's something for the summer!

A perfect summer day is when the sun is shining, the breeze is blowing, the birds are singing, and the lawn mower is broken. ~James Dent

Hear! Hear! Can't wait to go home and just pig out on ice cream on my balcony. I hope we're all having fun this summer!

Abraham Lincoln once said:

And in the end it's not the years in your life that count. It's the life in your years.

My understanding is that it's not how long you live, but how you lived that counts.

Tom Lehrer:
On my income tax 1040 it says "Check this box if you are blind." I wanted to put a check mark about three inches away.

Charles M. Schultz:
Don't worry about the world coming to an end today. It is already tomorrow in Australia.
Sometimes I lie awake at night, and I ask, "Where have I gone wrong?" Then a voice says to me, "This is going to take more than one night."
Nothing takes the taste out of peanut butter quite like unrequited love.

Anonymous:
When all the other girls wanted ponies at that age, I wanted diplomatic immunity.

The two things that can disrupt a class the most: snow and Ms. Johl

Whats the worst thing that can happen? You play a wrong note, big deal. What's the worst thing you can do? Not play.

It's okay to make a mistake. Make the same mistake twice, and it becomes a habit

A good one to keep in mind as we approach the grim reaper Very Happy

When I die, I want to go peacefully like my Grandfather did, in his sleep -- not screaming, like the passengers in his car

Here's a couple for those who want to have a biting wit:

I refuse to have a battle of wits with an unarmed opponent.

I worship the ground that awaits you.

I'd like to help you out. Which way did you come in?
