...then here are some suggestions on course selection:

1. Use all your AP credits. If you have the credits for Physics, Chem, Bio, CompSci, Calculus, or Arts, then use them and don't take the equivalent first year course, as it will most likely bore you to death. (If you need a review, get an old edition of a chemistry textbook for $10 at a used bookstore and do questions about equlibrium, weak interactions, and molecular geometry for a few days throughout the summer, as that's what you'll talk about over and over in MBB courses.)

2. If you don't have the equivalent AP credits, then do the non-life sciences version of math, physics, or whatever (except maybe statistics). The concepts are explained better and you'll be glad you did if you want to pursue biophysics, bioinformatics, or organic chemistry.

3. Do 2nd year MBB courses and Organic chem ASAP, because once these are done, a whole range of 3rd year courses is open to you, where you finally start to learn the interesting stuff.

4. Start volunteering in a lab as soon as you can. It's the best education you can get, it won't cost you anything, and it looks really good on a resume. If your GPA is good enough, apply for an NSERC research award so you can get some money.
